Our inaugural workshop was so much fun! Read more about it here: Taking a line (of music) out for a walk. Our guest this month is David Casali, a PhD student in music education at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. He is experimenting with using video games as prompts for composing music. Join us in trying this out for ourselves. We’ll learn about open-source resources and tools we can use for this project.
This is our monthly Zoom workshop for composers of all abilities to gather in a safe, non-judgmental space to explore music composition. Teachers, children, all are welcome! We will use Hyperscore as an enabling tool in which you can play with your musical imagination. We will use group brainstorming, prompts, and other methods to see what works. No one has ever tried something like this before, so come with an open mind and sense of adventure!
You have to register only once. Thereafter, you will receive a monthly reminder email with the link to join.
