Office Hours with Ben Mirin

September 5, 2023 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm

7:30 pm ET | 6:30 pm CT | 5:30 pm MT | 4:30 pm PT

Ben Mirin first became known as a “Wildlife DJ” who travels the world recording animal sounds and sampling their voices to create music that inspires conservation. We’ll explore ideas for incorporating birdsong and other animal sounds into Hyperscore compositions.

Ben is currently a PhD candidate at the K. Lisa Yang Center for Conservation Bioacoustics at the Cornell University Lab of Ornithology. He is also a member of the Ethno-ornithology World Archive Research Lab at Oxford, a Graduate Research Fellow of the National Science Foundation, and a Fulbright Hays Fellow. His research focuses on co-creating community-based conservation programs to protect songbirds in Indonesia, and explores how we can reach the hearts and minds of young people to create a more inclusive and sustainable future for all life on earth. Learn more about Ben’s extraordinary work at his website.

Office Hours are held via Zoom on the first Tuesday of every month. Join the New Harmony Line team and a different guest speaker each month to discuss experiences with Hyperscore and answer your questions.

Sessions will be recorded and posted on our YouTube channel. Click on the button below to register. You have to register only once. Thereafter, you will receive a monthly reminder email with the link to join.
