2024 New Jersey Music Educators Association Conference

Director of Education Cece Roudabush will be giving four workshops on Hyperscore at the conference.

Feb. 22, 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. “Hyperscore: A new way to teach music using technology.” Participants will be doing a group composition workshop in the first session, with the opportunity to learn all the tools through working together on a composition with a topic of their choice

Feb. 22, 3:30-4:30 p.m. “Hyperscore composing challenge. Share your story through music!” All about how to participate in the Hyperscore Challenge.

Feb. 23, 3:30-4:30 p.m. “Lowering music barriers for secondary students through composing with technology.” Participants will hold a group discussion on the importance of the composition standard as a musically creative opportunity for students to express themselves.  Hyperscore’s unique graphic interface makes composing accessible to anyone of any age or ability, lowering the barrier of learning theory in order to write in standard notation.  Lessons can be designed around STEAM topics, styles of music, storytelling, and curricular connections.  Because of Hyperscore’s ability to print to standard notation, students in the performing arts or in a flexible music interest class will be able to compose and create individual or group pieces for performance.  Hyperscore’s beautiful interface is also performance ready should the student choose to present electronically.

Feb. 24, 10:15-11:15 a.m. “Lowering music barriers for K-6 students through composing with technology.” Participants will hold a group discussion on the importance of the composition standard as a musically creative opportunity for students to express themselves.  Hyperscore’s unique graphic interface makes composing accessible to anyone of any age or ability, lowering the barrier of learning theory in order to write in standard notation.  Modified materials are available for students with varied learning styles with age-appropriate materials K-6.
